For 1984 or now 2050 we are creating an emersive theatre experience which is audience led. All audience members will wear surgical masks and the performance will contain detailed sets. Most spaces will have multimedia in them (audio, video, sound, lighting, smoke set). In this piece the audience is the story teller and even though the performance only lasts an hour we are creating 3-4hrs worth of material which means no audience member will see everything or see the same show. The ending of the performance is the beginning of the revolution. We will be using:
Lecture Theatre
The Space
Rooms 411
418
415
413
All the hallways in-between
Outsides Green space
Tree space
Room 411 will be the room of torture formally known as room 101
Room 418 is going to be Winston's home that could include his diary and half eaten meals
Room 413 is the ministry food hall where food will actually be made
Room 415 will be the office and may have videos of though criminals and audience (live feed)
Space will be used for the group hate room a sort of brainwash clips of hatred
In the hallways could be propaganda of some sort
Lecture Theatre will have a cold business feel to it (the beginning)
The audience are visitors and are treated with respect. During this lesson we put everything that we are going to do, each move into a timeline, this was a good idea as it meant that everything we were going to do was clearly laid out and it made life a lot more easier. It made it clear what everyone was doing during of the hour of ther play so we could see what interactions we may or may not have with other groups.
